Kostas Anagnostakis Founder & CTO PhD, Univ. of Pennsylvania, USA |

Dr. Anagnostakis founded Niometrics after 15 years of applied R&D in security and network monitoring. Between 2005 and 2009, he was with A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research, where he led research funded by government agencies, defense organizations, and industry. He has designed several network monitoring tools and systems, a wireless IPS, and high-performance content inspection algorithms. Dr. Anagnostakis has previously held positions with FORTH-ICS and TERENA, where he was instrumental in bootstrapping a European initiative on Internet monitoring. He holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania, USA. |

Kirk Jon Khu is the co-founder of Niometrics and product manager of the Nio Policy Enforcer. He is responsible for deployment of testbeds and day-to-day operations at Niometrics, and is actively involved in product development. Prior to Niometrics, Kirk was with A*STAR’s Institute for Infocomm Research as a research engineer. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the National University of Singapore. |

William Arbaugh joined the Computer Science department at the University of Maryland College Park in 2000 after serving sixteen years with the U.S. Department of Defense- first as a commissioned officer in the Army and then as a civilian. During the sixteen years, Prof. Arbaugh served in several leadership positions in diverse areas ranging from tactical communications to advanced research. In 2004, Professor Arbaugh founded and lead as President and Chief Technical officer, Komoku, Inc. Komoku furthered research, Semantic Integrity, developed by Professor Arbaugh and his students into a product that was eventually purchased by Microsoft, and incorporated into their product line. Prof. Arbaugh received a B.S. from the United States Military Academy at West Point, a M.S. in computer science from Columbia University, and PhD in computer science from the University of Pennsylvania. |

Jonathan M. Smith Professor of Computer and Information Science University of Pennsylvania |

Jonathan M. Smith is the Olga and Alberico Pompa Professor of Engineering and Applied Science and a Professor of Computer and Information Science at the University of Pennsylvania. He served as a Program Manager at DARPA 2004-2006, and was awarded the OSD Medal for Exceptional Public Service in 2006. He is an IEEE Fellow and currently serves on the National Research Council Board on Army Science and Technology. His current research interests range from programmable network infrastructures and cognitive radios to disinformation theory and architectures for computer augmented immune response. |
